The registry is blocking renewal.
The registry will not accept a renewal from any registrar. It is uncommon and usually tied to a dispute or a domain that is being deleted.

Why it matters
An unrenewable domain will eventually expire and stop working.
When you’d see it
This is rare. It is most often seen on a domain that is subject to a dispute or is already on its way to deletion, so treat it as a sign to contact the registrar, not as a setting to change.
How it shows up in a lookup
In a gTLD WHOIS lookup it appears as “Domain Status: serverRenewProhibited https://icann.org/epp#serverRenewProhibited”; RDAP shows it as “server renew prohibited”. It is a server status, so only the registry can add or remove it, and it overrides anything your registrar sets.
What to do
If you want to keep it, ask your registrar to raise it with the registry promptly; this takes longer than a registrar-side block.
Combination rules
pendingRenew must not be combined with serverRenewProhibited (RFC 5731 §2.3).
