The domain was explicitly renewed recently.
A grace period after the registrar renewed the domain. A deletion inside it earns the registrar a credit for the renewal.

Why it matters
Informational: it marks the window in which the registrar could still cancel the renewal for a refund from the registry. It doesn’t change how the domain works, and the extended expiry date is already visible in RDAP.
When you’d see it
It appears right after you renew, and goes away on its own. It only matters to the registrar's billing with the registry.
How it shows up in a lookup
In a gTLD WHOIS lookup it appears as “Domain Status: renewPeriod https://icann.org/epp#renewPeriod”; RDAP shows it as “renew period”. It is managed by the registry as a result of an operation (RFC 3915 §3), not a setting you or your registrar toggle directly.
What to do
Nothing, unless you didn’t intend to renew; then ask your registrar.
